An Indian captain of a Flydubai flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv successfully averted a major aviation disaster after a violent brawl with his co-pilot mid-air.
According to reports, the confrontation escalated to a physical attack where the captain was allegedly stabbed with a pocketknife inside the cockpit.
During the struggle, the Boeing 737 experienced a terrifying and rapid plunge, dropping thousands of feet before stabilizing.
Off-duty pilots and passengers rushed forward to help subdue the attacker and secure the flight deck.
The aircraft squawked emergency codes and successfully diverted to Tabuk, Saudi Arabia, where it landed safely.
Both pilots received medical treatment for their injuries, and international aviation authorities launched comprehensive investigations to determine the motive behind the shocking cockpit assault.
