Commercial LPG Cylinder Prices Hiked: Rates Raised by Up to ₹71 Ahead of Festival Season

State-owned oil marketing companies have announced a price hike of ₹60 to ₹71.50 on 19-kg commercial LPG cylinders, effective immediately.

This revision comes right at the start of the peak festival season, adding financial pressure to commercial establishments.

Fortunately, prices for 14.2-kg domestic cooking gas cylinders remain completely unchanged, providing much-needed relief to household budgets across the country.

The revised rates for commercial cylinders vary by city. In New Delhi, a 19-kg cylinder now costs ₹2,810.00, following an increase of ₹62.50. Mumbai sees prices rise to ₹2,764.50, while Kolkata and Chennai witness hikes bringing their rates to ₹2,954.00 and ₹2,983.00 respectively.

Patna recorded the highest increase of ₹71.50, pushing rates to ₹3,100.50.

Because this adjustment applies exclusively to commercial cylinders, it directly impacts hotels, restaurants, catering services, dhabas, and cloud kitchens.

Industry experts note that heightened fuel expenses during high-demand celebratory months may squeeze operating margins for small food businesses and the broader hospitality sector.
