Retired IAS, IPS Officers Lead Race to Become First Ram Mandir CEO

Lucknow: The Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust is shifting toward a corporate management model, attracting over 1,000 applicants for its first-ever Chief Executive Officer (CEO) position.

Following recent donation controversies and the exit of general secretary Champat Rai, the trust seeks a professional hand to manage its financial and statutory affairs.

Retired top-tier bureaucrats, including former IAS, IPS, and IFS officers like Amitabh Thakur, are currently leading the race. To qualify, candidates must be practicing Hindus aged 50–70 with 20 years of administrative experience and a willingness to reside in Ayodhya.

A high-powered three-member panel, featuring retired Supreme Court Judge Pramod Kohli, is screening the overwhelming surge of resumes ahead of the July 18 deadline. Interviews begin July 19, with a final three-name shortlist expected by July 22 for the three-year contractual role.
