Prashant Kishor Declares ₹198 Crore Assets for Bihar Bypoll
Patna: Jan Suraaj Party founder Prashant Kishor has officially entered electoral politics, filing his nomination for the Bankipur Assembly bypoll in Bihar. His election affidavit reveals a combined family net worth of nearly ₹198 crore (with total joint assets reaching up to ₹208 crore).
Kishor’s personal assets stand at approximately ₹96.06 crore, which includes a 100% controlling stake in Vedhas Ventures Private Limited valued at ₹95.26 crore. His wife, Dr. Jahnavi Das, holds assets worth ₹101.93 crore, including 475 grams of gold. Notably, Kishor’s immovable property includes a dismantled rice mill spanning over three acres in Rohtas.
The affidavit also discloses eight pending criminal cases against Kishor, largely related to unlawful assembly and defamation, though he has not been convicted. The Bankipur bypoll is scheduled for July 30, with counting on August 3.
