Record-Breaker: Bumrah Surpasses Jadeja to Become India’s Best in England
Jasprit Bumrah made a sensational return to ODI cricket, shattering records during the first ODI against England at Edgbaston. By dismissing English captain Harry Brook, the speedster became India’s highest ODI wicket-taker on English soil with 31 scalps, overtaking spin-bowling all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja (30).
The crucial wicket also marked Bumrah's 150th dismissal in the format. Achieving the feat in just 4,605 deliveries, he became the third-fastest Indian bowler to reach the milestone in terms of balls bowled, surpassing Ajit Agarkar.
Furthermore, this achievement vaulted Bumrah into an ultra-elite global club. He is now only the third cricketer in international history—alongside Shakib Al Hasan and Tim Southee—to claim 200+ Test wickets, 150+ ODI wickets, and 100+ T20I wickets, cementing his legacy as an all-format legend.
