BENGALURU: Several prominent VVIPs, tech leaders, and public figures in Karnataka have been flagged in discrepancy notices under the Election Commission of India’s ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.
High-Profile Names Flagged:
Tech Leaders: Infosys co-founder Nandan Nilekani and his family, along with Zerodha founders Nikhil and Nitin Kamath, were flagged due to unmapped status against 2002 electoral records or parent-name mismatches in Bengaluru constituencies.
Political & Cultural Icons: Gowramma (mother of Karnataka CM D.K. Shivakumar), acclaimed scientist and Bharat Ratna Prof. C.N.R. Rao, and Kannada actor Shivarajkumar also faced
