ED Searches Continue at Karnataka Minister Satish Jarkiholi’s Residence in Belagavi for Second Day
Karnataka: Enforcement Directorate (ED) search operations at properties linked to Karnataka Public Works Department Minister Satish Jarkiholi—including his residences in Belagavi and Gokak—entered their second consecutive day on September 10, 2026.
The multi-location raids, spanning roughly 18 premises across Bengaluru, Belagavi, Gokak, and Goa, are tied to an investigation into alleged financial irregularities, suspicious foreign investments, and fund transfers. Investigators are closely scrutinizing financial records, digital devices, and property documents.
Along with Minister Satish Jarkiholi and his daughter, Chikkodi Lok Sabha MP Priyanka Jarkiholi, the agency has searched properties associated with close aides, including his private secretary Malagouda Patil, associate Dr. Girish Sonawalkar, and his brother-in-law Y. Manjunath, who serves as the Additional Commissioner of Excise.
The ongoing actions have triggered sharp political pushback. Senior Congress leaders, including Chief Minister Siddaramaiah's administration and Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar, have vocally defended Jarkiholi, dismissing the ED raids as politically motivated actions orchestrated by the central government using investigative agencies against the opposition.
