Tragedy Strikes Gandhinagar: Construction Slab Collapse Leaves Several Workers Feared Trapped
A major industrial accident struck Gandhinagar, Gujarat, when a heavy metal and iron structural slab collapsed at the under-construction "Bosky The Empire" commercial building site in the Kudasan area.
The disaster occurred late in the evening as labourers worked beneath the structure, causing immediate panic and urgent rescue mobilization.
Local residents rushed to assist, pulling multiple injured workers from the rubble before emergency responders took charge.
Fire brigade units, state disaster response teams, and police forces deployed heavy machinery, cranes, and electric cutters to carve through twisted debris and search for trapped individuals.
Around 15 workers were successfully extracted and rushed to the Gandhinagar Civil Hospital for critical care, primarily treating severe fractures. Senior state officials, including health and law enforcement ministers, arrived at the scene and hospital to oversee emergency operations.
Search and clearance teams continued combing the debris overnight to guarantee no additional workers remained unaccounted for beneath the heavy metal structure.
