Top Officials and Leaders Receive Delhi SIR Notices
High-profile public figures, including Election Commissioner S. S. Sandhu, CBI Director Pravin Sood, and External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, have received notices under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Delhi.
The notices were triggered when current enumeration forms failed to automatically link with historical electoral data or flagged minor logistical discrepancies, such as spelling variations in names and addresses.
Other prominent individuals, including former Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi, veteran leader L. K. Advani, and Arvind Kejriwal, were similarly flagged.
The Election Commission of India (ECI) clarified that these routine verification notices do not indicate voter deletion.
Affected individuals simply need to provide basic documentation to their local Booth Level Officer to confirm their details.
Many of these entries, including those involving high-ranking officials, have already been successfully verified and cleared for the final rolls.
