SP Names Ram Gopal Yadav and Dhanraj Parimal Nathwani for Rajya Sabha from UP
The Samajwadi Party has officially announced veteran leader Professor Ram Gopal Yadav and corporate executive Dhanraj Parimal Nathwani as its candidates for the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections from Uttar Pradesh.
Both nominees filed their nomination papers in Lucknow, accompanied by party national president Akhilesh Yadav.
Meanwhile, the inclusion of Nathwani—a prominent corporate leader and sports administrator associated with Reliance Industries—marked a major talking point and political surprise.
The filing kicks off the party's formal campaign for the biennial upper-house polls.
