From Ludhiana Roots to Global Stage: Angad Singh Dhillon Appointed Canada's UAE Ambassador
The Canadian government has appointed 35-year-old Angad Singh Dhillon as its new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Dhillon’s ancestral roots trace back to Ghungrana village in Punjab's Ludhiana district, bringing immense pride to his native region.
Over the years, he transitioned into vital federal roles, including serving in the Prime Minister's Office and as Chief of Staff to federal cabinet ministers.
He has actively coordinated major international initiatives and investments, contributing to Canada's global engagements across key economic and diplomatic platforms.
Succeeding Radha Krishna Panday, Dhillon will now represent Ottawa in the UAE, helping to strengthen trade, economic partnerships, and bilateral ties between the two nations at a significant milestone in his diplomatic career.
