Catastrophic Nepal-Tibet Flash Floods Leave 95 Dead and Over 100 Indians Missing
A massive flash flood triggered by a suspected earthquake and subsequent avalanche along the Nepal-Tibet border has left at least 95 people dead and nearly 400 missing.
The sudden surge of water tore through the Bhote Koshi and Trishuli river corridors, devastating settlements, roads, and hydropower projects in Nepal's Rasuwa, Nuwakot, and Dhading districts.
Rescue operations involving the military, helicopters, and disaster response teams are currently underway.
Meanwhile, neighboring Indian states like Uttar Pradesh and Bihar have been placed on high alert, and the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu has activated emergency helplines to assist affected families.
