FBI Puts $50,000 Bounty on Gangster Goldy Brar
Washington: The US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has added Satinderjeet Singh, known as Goldy Brar, to its "Most Wanted" list, offering a $50,000 reward for information leading to his arrest.
A federal court in California indicted Brar under the RICO Act, charging him with extortion, drug trafficking, and conspiracy.
US prosecutors designate Brar as the North American leader of the violent Lawrence Bishnoi organized crime group.
The crackdown links Brar to major international crimes. US authorities have formally indicted both Brar and Bishnoi for orchestrating the June 2023 assassination of Khalistani separatist Hardeep Singh Nijjar in Surrey, Canada.
Brar is also designated a terrorist by Indian authorities, who name him the mastermind behind the May 2022 murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala. Known to use various aliases, Brar remains at large and is believed to have active hideouts across California, Canada, and Mexico.
