Very heavy downpours are expected to batter districts like Paschim Medinipur and Jhargram, while Kolkata and surrounding areas will experience intermittent moderate to heavy showers. The adverse weather conditions are forecasted to persist through July twenty-eighth, raising concerns about localized urban flooding and waterlogging in low-lying areas.

Authorities have strictly prohibited fishermen from venturing into the northwest Bay of Bengal and along the coastal belt due to extremely rough seas. Residents in vulnerable zones are urged to exercise caution and stay updated on local advisories as transport services face potential disruptions.
