Pralhad Joshi Takes Over Education Ministry Following Dharmendra Pradhan’s Resignation

New Delhi: Union Minister Pralhad Joshi has been assigned the additional charge of the Ministry of Education after President Droupadi Murmu accepted Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation.

Pradhan stepped down from his high-profile cabinet post taking moral responsibility amidst intense, nationwide student protests and political uproar over recurring examination controversies and paper leak allegations, notably involving the NEET-UG exams.

Announcing his departure, Pradhan stated he was stepping aside to respect the aspirations of the nation's youth and returning to his home state of Odisha.

Pralhad Joshi, a senior BJP leader who currently handles the portfolios of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, and New and Renewable Energy, will now step in to steer the education ministry through this turbulent administrative transition.
