Ram Janmabhoomi Trust Nears Final Decision on First Full-Time CEO
The Shree Ramjanmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Nyas search committee has shortlisted three candidates for its first full-time Chief Executive Officer, alongside a reserve list of three.
Selected from an initial pool of 5,585 applicants through AI-enabled screening and interviews, the candidates include retired bureaucrats among the frontrunners.
The appointment is being discussed at today’s critical trust meeting on September 2, 2026.
This administrative restructuring aims to reinforce financial management and governance following a recent donation embezzlement controversy that led to arrests and the departure of three office-bearers, including former general secretary Champat Rai.
Candidates were required to be practicing Hindus aged 50–70 with 20 years of administrative experience, proficiency in Hindi and English, and a willingness to reside in Ayodhya.
Final selections and compensation terms are expected to be formalized following board deliberations.
