BJP agents flooded local election machinery with bulk Form 7 applications targeting specific demographics for voter list deletion, raising widespread concerns over potential disenfranchisement.
BLOs have pushed back against the mass filings due to a lack of verification, leading to severe administrative friction.
In Godda district, the confrontation escalated when an agent allegedly burned unverified forms after being questioned by election officials.
While the BJP accused BLOs of partisan bias for rejecting statutory objections, election authorities maintain that bulk deletions require rigorous field verification.
The standoff highlights vulnerabilities in handling Form 7 filings, where heavy administrative loads clash with the urgent need to protect legitimate voters from arbitrary removal.
