Bombay High Court Orders CBI Probe Into Disha Salian's Death

The Bombay High Court has directed the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to register an FIR and investigate the 2020 death of former celebrity manager Disha Salian.

The division bench of Justices Sarang Kotwal and Ranjitsinha Raja Bhonsale issued the directive while hearing a petition filed by the deceased's father, Satish Salian, who alleged foul play and a political cover-up.

Disha Salian, 28, died on June 8, 2020, after falling from a high-rise in Malad, Mumbai.

While Mumbai Police previously closed the case as an accidental death by suicide, the High Court ordered the transfer of all case papers, evidence, and documents to the CBI.

However, the bench mandated that no individual should be treated as an accused unless sufficient incriminating material surfaces during the central investigation.
