CBI Registers FIR in Disha Salian Death Case, Names Aaditya Thackeray and Rhea Chakraborty
The Central Bureau of Investigation has registered a formal FIR into the June 2020 death of Disha Salian, former manager of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput.
Ordered by the Bombay High Court after years of public scrutiny and criticism over police inaction, the new case introduces grave allegations including murder, gang rape, criminal conspiracy, and the intentional destruction of evidence.
Prominent figures named in the ongoing investigation include Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray, Rhea Chakraborty, Showik Chakraborty, Dino Morea, and Sooraj Pancholi. Furthermore, the filing sweeps in high-profile political and law enforcement figures such as former Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, former state home minister Anil Deshmukh, and several senior Mumbai Police officials.
Investigators are tasked with probing both the primary allegations and the alleged systematic suppression of case records and propagation of a false suicide narrative.
