Thousands of sound technicians and rental businesses rely on festive processions for their annual livelihood, arguing that indiscriminate bans unfairly penalize regulated artists alongside rogue operators.
Simultaneously, the cultural landscape is shifting. Many prominent pandals are voluntarily moving away from heavy electronic setups, choosing instead to revive traditional acoustic formats like dhol-tasha.
