Shehzad Poonawalla Sends Second Letter to BJP Pressing for Resignation Acceptance
BJP national spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla has intensified his push to leave the party, submitting a second letter to leadership requesting the immediate formal acceptance of his resignation from his primary membership and organizational duties.
Initially tendering his resignation on July 30 due to personal and financial reasons, Poonawalla noted that recent actions by certain individuals inside the party solidified his final decision to step down.
While he intends to pivot entirely toward the private sector, Poonawalla clarified that his departure is strictly from the party framework rather than its core ideology.
He reaffirmed his unwavering support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision and expressed profound gratitude to top party leadership, including Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, and B.L. Santhosh, for providing him a platform as a non-dynastic worker.
