Delhi Metro Shifts to 6 AM Start for Sunday Commuters
The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has announced an early start for train services at 6:00 AM across all corridors this Sunday.
This operational adjustment aims to assist students traveling for major national competitive examinations, including the NDA and CDS tests.
Ordinarily, several metro lines begin operating later on Sunday mornings.
However, sweeping surface traffic restrictions, road closures, and heightened security measures for the ongoing BRICS Summit necessitated this proactive schedule change.
Commuters are advised to utilize the early transit window to navigate the city smoothly despite heavy security cordons.
Students should verify their exam centers and ensure they carry essential documentation, such as admit cards and photo identification, to facilitate swift security checks.
Authorities also caution that select station gates may experience temporary, short-notice closures as VVIP movements dictate real-time security protocols across the national capital region.
