Indian cricketer Rishabh Pant sparked a social media frenzy with a late-night post directed at Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami.
Currently with the national Test team, the wicketkeeper-batter revealed he has spent three years trying to acquire land to shift his base from Delhi and build his first home in his native state.
Emphasizing his deep connection to his roots, the 28-year-old expressed a heartfelt desire to live among his "Pahadi people" and contribute to local development.
However, he made it clear he is not looking for handouts. While joking that a complimentary gift would be a nice gesture for representing the country, Pant insisted he is fully prepared to purchase the property from the government at standard commercial rates.
The candid, unfiltered midnight appeal quickly went viral, capturing the attention and amusement of fans nationwide.
