Delhi Health Ministry Issues H1N1 Alert as Cases Cross 1,700
With Delhi reporting over 1,700 H1N1 cases, the Health Ministry has issued an urgent advisory detailing critical symptoms and prevention strategies.
Key Symptoms to Monitor:
Sudden high fever accompanied by severe chills
Persistent dry cough and sore throat
Intense body aches and extreme fatigue
Respiratory distress or shortness of breath
Red Flags for Urgent Care:
Seek immediate medical attention if experiencing chest pain, bluish discoloration of lips, confusion, or breathing difficulties.
Prevention and Safety:
Health officials urge citizens to practice rigorous hand hygiene, wear masks in crowded areas, cover coughs properly, and avoid self-medicating.
High-risk individuals, including the elderly, pregnant women, and those with chronic illnesses, must exercise extreme caution.
If flu-like symptoms develop, isolating at home is critical to curb further transmission across the capital.
