Hydrogen Revolution: PM Modi Flags Off India’s First Indigenous Green Train in Haryana
Prime Minister Narendra Modi scripted a historic chapter in India’s green transition by flagging off the nation's first hydrogen-powered train on the Jind–Sonipat route in Haryana. Powered by zero-emission hydrogen fuel cell technology, the indigenous 10-coach train emits only water vapor and heat, placing India in an elite global club of clean-transit pioneers.
Alongside this green milestone, the PM launched massive infrastructure projects valued at approximately ₹15,000 crore:
Connectivity: Dedicated major sections of the Greenfield Delhi–Amritsar–Katra Expressway and the Jind–Gohana highway.
Healthcare: Opened advanced medical colleges in Bhiwani and Narnaul.
Culture: Laid the foundation for a high-tech Sikh Museum in Kurukshetra.
This twin-launch powerfully reinforces India's commitment to self-reliance, sustainable transit, and robust regional development.
