NEET-UG 2026 Results: 11.2 Lakh Qualify as Women Lead the Way
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has declared the NEET-UG 2026 re-examination results, revealing that 11.21 lakh candidates have qualified out of nearly 20 lakh aspirants. Notably, women dominated the successful cohort, making up over 58% of the qualifying pool.
Following the cancellation of the May 3 exam over paper leak allegations, this June 21 re-exam saw remarkable performances.
Aryan Gupta (Punjab) and Panshul Bansal (Haryana) emerged as joint toppers, both securing an impressive 715 out of 720 marks. Furthermore, 19 candidates scored 700 or above, with first-time takers aged 17–19 dominating the top brackets.
Uttar Pradesh recorded the highest number of qualifiers at over 1.7 lakh. With results declared, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will now begin the allocation process for 1,36,939 approved MBBS seats across the country.
