Deadlock Prevails Ahead of 3rd Round of CJP-Centre Talks

Negotiations between the Central government and the youth-led Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) remain deadlocked as both sides prepare for a crucial third round of talks.

The primary friction point is CJP’s demand for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the NEET-UG examination paper leak controversy. CJP leadership has called Pradhan's stepping down "non-negotiable," reiterating that protests at Jantar Mantar will persist until he steps down.

However, government sources maintain that resignation is not under consideration, framing it as an evasion of duty, and are instead prioritizing systemic overhauls within the National Testing Agency (NTA).

While the Centre has indicated in-principle agreement toward CJP's other demands—including ₹1 crore compensation for families of students who died by suicide and the withdrawal of FIRs against student protesters—the minister's resignation remains the central hurdle.
