Massive NTA Overhaul: 47 Officials Terminated Amid Jantar Mantar Protests

In a major administrative crackdown, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has terminated 47 officials from service following high-stakes controversies over examination paper leaks.

Sources within the Ministry of Education confirm that criminal and legal proceedings will also be initiated against select personnel as part of a complete structural overhaul aimed at restoring credibility to the national examination system.

The decision comes amid escalating, nationwide youth protests at Jantar Mantar, spearheaded by groups like the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP).

Protesters have been demanding strict accountability for systemic failures surrounding competitive exams like NEET, along with the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

In response to the growing public outcry, the Central government is also considering a major revamp of the NTA’s outsourcing model to plug security loopholes and prevent future exam breaches.
