JPSC Protests Persist as Second Round of Talks Fails to Reach Consensus
The agitation surrounding the 14th Jharkhand Public Service Commission examinations has intensified after a second round of high-level talks between the state government and student leaders ended without a breakthrough.
While a state ministerial panel met with delegations—including student factions and JLKM leader Devendra Nath Mahto—aspirants resolved to continue their protests.
The core demands remain the immediate cancellation of the disputed preliminary examination and an independent, centralized probe into the alleged irregularities.
Meanwhile, Devendra Nath Mahto's indefinite hunger strike entered a critical stage, with doctors raising serious concerns over his declining health.
In response, the government has established an official feedback email to collect student recommendations for structural recruitment reforms, while the Crime Investigation Department continues questioning key officials and commission members. With neither side backing down, the political standoff over state recruitment integrity deepens.
