Haridwar’s Mansa Devi Temple Enforces Pocketless Dress Code for Priests to Ensure Transparency

Haridwar: In a major administrative overhaul, the Shri Mansa Devi Temple Trust in Haridwar has mandated a strict pocketless dress code for all on-duty priests. Aimed at ensuring 100% transparency, the rule prevents the pocketing of cash offerings. Violators face immediate termination and police action.

Additionally, a newly appointed seven-member committee will oversee temple operations under continuous CCTV surveillance. The trust has also strictly banned the reselling of offered items like coconuts and garlands. These rigorous reforms come alongside infrastructure upgrades to manage heavy devotee crowds ahead of upcoming religious festivals.
