Punjab Mutiny: Rebels Unite to Oust Raja Warring as Congress State Chief
Chandigarh: The internal crisis within the Punjab Congress has escalated into an open revolt. A powerful rebel faction—led by former Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi and former Deputy CM Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa—has joined forces to demand the immediate ouster of state chief Amarinder Singh Raja Warring.
Following a high-profile show of strength in Mohali, the dissident camp formally resolved to boycott all Warring-led party events. In a direct snub to the central leadership, the rebels refused to meet AICC Punjab in-charge Bhupesh Baghel, choosing instead to rush to Delhi to press the high command for an immediate leadership change.
