Delhi Police Grants Congress NOC for November 1 Anti-CEC Rally at Ramlila Maidan
The Delhi Police has officially granted a No-Objection Certificate (NOC) to the Indian National Congress to hold a major anti-CEC protest rally at the historic Ramlila Maidan on November 1.
The administrative clearance allows event organizers access to the venue from October 25 through November 3. Ramlila Maidan serves as one of the newly designated official locations for large-scale public demonstrations in the capital.
The upcoming mobilization forms a central component of the opposition INDIA bloc's joint campaign.
Protesters are rallying to challenge the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of voter rolls and demand the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar, alleging severe irregularities in the electoral administration process.
Local law enforcement agencies, security grids, and traffic divisions are coordinating closely with party organizers.
Authorities aim to streamline crowd control, manage high-density central Delhi vehicular movement, and maintain strict public order throughout the duration of the permitted booking window.
