In a dramatic political escalation, Delhi Police detained Opposition leaders including Lok Sabha Opposition Leader Rahul Gandhi, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra.
The leaders were forcibly removed after staging a sudden sit-in near Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 7 Lok Kalyan Marg residence.
The demonstration came in response to violent police action against students protesting widespread NEET exam paper leak irregularities.
Opposing leaders marched toward the residence demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and an immediate, structured debate on student security in Parliament.
Tensions peaked when police physically lifted key figures into buses to clear the security zone. The incident has intensified clashes between the INDIA bloc and the ruling BJP administration as the ongoing Monsoon Session faces repeated disruptions over examination integrity and youth welfare.
