Govt Open to Comprehensive Debate on Paper Leak Issue, Says JP Nadda

Union Health Minister and Leader of the House in Rajya Sabha, JP Nadda, announced that the government is fully prepared for an in-depth, comprehensive discussion on the paper leak controversy in Parliament.

Addressing the House, Nadda urged Opposition parties to refrain from politicising an issue that impacts millions of students nationwide. Emphasizing that Parliament is the right forum to address educational malpractices, he stated that the government is flexible on the duration and format of the debate, whether it spans 12 hours or 18 hours.

Directly countering Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi’s accusations, Nadda noted that paper leaks have also plagued states governed by Opposition parties, including Jharkhand, Karnataka, and West Bengal. He stressed that both the government and the Opposition share a collective responsibility to safeguard the future of Indian youth and establish robust, long-term reforms to prevent future exam compromises.
