Ram Temple Trust Forms 'Dharmik Committee' of Seers, Reviews SBI Tie-Up

The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has formed a nine-member Dharmik Committee to manage all religious affairs and ritual protocols at the Ayodhya temple.

Headed by Trust Treasurer Swami Govind Dev Giri, the panel includes prominent Ayodhya seers like Mahant Kamal Nayan Das and Mahant Dinendra Das. It holds full authority over Vedic worship, Ramanandi traditions, priest training, and festival schedules.

Concurrently, the Trust is reviewing its MoU with the State Bank of India (SBI) following a donation theft controversy.

SBI has already replaced contractual counting staff with regular employees, while the Trust evaluates bringing in additional banks to tighten financial security.

Additionally, the appointment of the temple's first CEO was deferred by a month as a selection panel reviews over 5,500 applications for the administrative role.
