ECI Grants Final Chance for Deleted Voters Across 7 States
The Election Commission of India (ECI) has announced a special window for voters excluded from draft rolls across seven states and Union Territories—including Delhi, Maharashtra, Haryana, Andhra Pradesh, Jharkhand, Telangana, and Nagaland—to re-enroll before final electoral rolls are published.
Targeting eligible citizens previously marked as Absent, Shifted, Deceased (ASD), or duplicates, booth-level lists of deleted names will be displayed at local polling stations, block offices, and official electoral websites.
Booth Level Officers (BLOs) are conducting proactive outreach via home visits and digital communications to notify affected electors.
Omitted voters can reclaim their registration by submitting fresh forms physically to local Electoral Registration Officers or online via the ECINET portal.
Unshifted residents must include a brief statement explaining the delay, while shifted voters may register under their new constituency.
For homeless citizens lacking formal address proof, a field verification report by the BLO will suffice for inclusion.
