Jaipur's Mridul Agarwal creates history, tops JEE Advanced 2021 with highest-ever percentile
Jaipur: Joint Entrance Examination, JEE Advanced 2021 Result has been declared and the list of toppers has been released. Jaipur’s Mridul Agarwal has created a history of sorts by not only topping the examination but also scoring the highest ever in the IIT-JEE entrance test. With 348 out of 360, Mridul has topped the examination with 96.66% marks.
This is the highest ever scored by a students in the JEE Advanced examination since 2011. Over the past decade, the highest has been 96, which was in the year 2012 when the topper scored 385 out of total of 401. In 2020, the JEE Advanced examination was of 396 marks and the highest score had been 352, which is about 88.88 per cent.
As for this year’s topper, Mridul is a super excited. He had topped the JEE Main 2021 examination as well and secured 100 percentile with perfect 300 score in Session 1 and Session 2. His parents were over the moon and extremely proud of their son’s achievement.
Mridul’s father, Pradeep Agarwal, is a Finance Head in a private company and his mother, Puja Agarwal is a home-maker. His younger brother is in seventh grade.
