GUWAHATI: Ten individuals from Assam remain untraceable following catastrophic flash floods and landslides triggered by glacial collapses in Nepal. The Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA) confirmed that the missing residents include tourists, medical professionals, and workers deployed at regional hydropower project sites along river valleys.

The affected individuals hail from districts including Kamrup (Metro), Karbi Anglong, Nalbari, Golaghat, and Hojai. Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma stated that the state administration is in constant communication with affected families. Authorities are closely coordinating search-and-rescue operations with central ministries, the Ministry of External Affairs, and international agencies operating in disaster-hit zones.
