Pakistan Summons Indian Diplomat Over BSF Shooting of Two Men
Pakistan summoned India's Chargé d'Affaires in Islamabad to lodge a strong formal protest following the fatal shooting of two individuals by India's Border Security Force (BSF) along the international border in Punjab's Tarn Taran district.
While Indian authorities claimed the men were intruders ignoring warnings and expressing intent to cross the border, Islamabad strongly rejected this characterization, describing the victims as unarmed civilians and calling the use of lethal force wholly unjustified.
Pakistan has demanded an immediate, transparent, and credible investigation into the incident, alongside disciplinary and legal action against those responsible.
