Naveen Patnaik admitted to hospital due to dehydration, condition stable

Bhubaneswar: Former Odisha chief minister and BJD president Naveen Patnaik was admitted to a private hospital in Bhubaneswar on Sunday evening due to dehydration, sources said.

His condition is stable and he is responding well to treatment, said hospital sources. According to sources, Patnaik, 78, complained of uneasiness on Saturday night and some doctors had visited his residence.

Several senior BJD leaders visited the hospital on Sunday.

The five-time CM had recently undergone a spinal surgery for cervical arthritis at a hospital in Mumbai on June 22. He returned to Odisha to rousing reception on July 12 after a successful surgery.
