IndiGo Aircraft Collides with Guidance Pole at Srinagar Airport
An IndiGo Airbus A321 operating from Navi Mumbai to Srinagar struck a Visual Docking Guidance System (VDGS) pole while maneuvering into its designated parking bay at Srinagar International Airport.
Fortunately, all passengers and crew members on board remained unhurt and safely deboarded the aircraft via mobile stairs.
While the plane sustained structural damage during the ground incident, overall flight operations at the airport remained completely normal with zero disruption to other arrivals or departures.
Authorities confirmed that the aircraft has been grounded for a comprehensive technical inspection.
Both the airline and local aviation officials have initiated a formal inquiry to determine the exact sequence of events and responsibility for the ground maneuvering mishap, adhering strictly to standard aviation safety protocols.
