INDIA Bloc Holds Virtual Meet to Finalize November 1 Rally and ‘Vote Chori’ Protests

Leaders of the INDIA alliance are convening online on Thursday evening to chart the roadmap for their nationwide campaign against alleged "vote chori" (vote theft) and demand the immediate resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.

Chaired by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, the meeting serves to review logistical preparations and coordination for the alliance's major upcoming rally scheduled for November 1 in New Delhi.

Opposition parties plan to build momentum by mobilizing widespread support from student bodies, trade unions, and civil society organizations.

The high-level consultation follows recent escalations by the opposition, including the "March for Democracy" in the capital and a joint petition filed with the Supreme Court challenging the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls over suspected irregularities.

Today's virtual session aims to solidify unified strategies ahead of the November demonstration.
