Delhi Police Invoke BNSS Section 163 to Block CJP's 'Chalo Sansad' March

Ahead of the Parliament session, Delhi Police invoked Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) in the New Delhi district, effectively banning the Cockroach Janta Party’s (CJP) proposed "Chalo Sansad" protest march.

Officials confirmed the CJP had neither sought nor received permission for the rally. The prohibitory orders strictly forbid unauthorized gatherings of five or more people, demonstrations, and processions in the area, limiting approved protests solely to Jantar Mantar with prior consent.

The CJP organized the march demanding accountability for alleged NEET exam irregularities and calling for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. The political group's protest follows an ongoing hunger strike led by CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke and activist Sonam Wangchuk. Authorities have deployed multi-tier security and barricades across Central Vista, warning that violators will face strict legal prosecution under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
