CBI Probe: Leaked NEET Papers Followed Two Distinct Routes Out of Maharashtra
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the NEET question paper leak case has revealed that the compromised materials originated from Maharashtra before being distributed nationwide through two distinct operational routes.
Investigators uncovered a sophisticated nexus involving National Testing Agency (NTA) subject experts, local intermediaries, and prominent coaching institute operators.
The leak traced back to insiders who possessed authorized access to the exam papers.
Once breached, the materials split into two separate logistical networks managed by middlemen, who transported the papers out of Maharashtra to reach beneficiary candidates across multiple states, including Delhi, Haryana, and Rajasthan.
The CBI has filed chargesheets against key conspirators—including NTA chemistry, physics, and biology experts—submitting digital forensics and financial trails as crucial evidence.
The accused are being prosecuted under stringent provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, the Prevention of Corruption Act, and the Public Examinations Act, 2024.
